Before you apply

• Launched January 2025. $3,000/month from foreign sources, 1 year renewable three times — up to 4 years. No nationality restrictions.
• It does NOT lead to permanent residence. If settlement is your goal and you work in IT, use the separate B9-1 Digital Nomad Residency instead — the two are easy to confuse.
• No Kazakh employers and no local income. Filed at a consulate, usually decided in about 7 working days.

Before you apply

• TEN-YEAR residence permit with NO INCOME REQUIREMENT AT ALL — the first permits were issued explicitly without one. It also leads to permanent residence, unlike the Neo Nomad visa.
• Restricted BY PROFESSION: IT and adjacent fields (programming, cybersecurity, UI/UX, DevOps, AI). Kazakhstan is openly buying digital talent.
• Applied for ONLINE through Astana Hub. Over 270 applications arrived in the first two months from 20+ countries.
• Tax: flat 10% personal income tax; Astana Hub gives 0% corporate tax to qualifying IT companies.
• Ukrainians enter Kazakhstan visa-free, and banking works: since February 2025 foreigners can get a Kaspi card with a passport, a local phone number and an IIN (free, issued in a day).
